Description

  • Oversee and manage all accounting functions across the group of companies.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processing, including inter-company charges and daily bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accounting journals and adjustments, and keep subsidiary accounts fully reconciled.
  • Deliver timely month-end financial reports to management.
  • Prepare and file GST and PAYE returns.
  • Manage inter-company transaction reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare budget, cashflow forecasts, and monthly actuals reporting for management.
  • Provide cost and variance analysis, along with quarterly bank covenant reporting and business performance commentary.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and receivables collection.
  • Document finance processes, train staff, and liaise with external accountants, banks, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Advanced user of Xero.
  • Experience using Dext and Approval Max.
  • Ability to learn industry-specific software such as My Trucking and iLoad.
  • Ability to work in sole charge with minimal daily oversight.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and ability to meet deadlines across multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain organised and accurate financial documentation.
  • Ability to lead other staff and run finance-related meetings.
  • Minimum 5 years of NZ experience at a similar level (formal qualifications preferred but not required).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Positive, professional, and conscientious behavioural approach.
