Description

  • Perform detailed analysis of embedded software, including memory management, object code, watchdog timers, hardware/software partitioning, and dead or deactivated code.
  • Develop and execute embedded software testing strategies.
  • Conduct unit testing, hardware-software integration testing, and software-software integration testing.
  • Create and review test plans, procedures, structural coverage analysis, and worst-case execution time analysis.
  • Prepare and review certification documentation in accordance with DO-178B/C.
  • Develop and review Software Accomplishment Summaries and related certification artifacts such as SDP, SVP, PSAC, HLR/LLR, SCI, SCMP, and SVMP.
  • Support Stage of Involvement audits from SOI1 through SOI4.
  • Collaborate with FAA/EASA authorities and provide hands-on support to Designated Engineering Representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with DO-178B/C certification processes.
  • Proven experience preparing certification documents.
  • Familiarity with Software Accomplishment Summary artifacts.
  • Experience supporting DERs and audit processes, including SOI1–SOI4.
  • Solid understanding of FAA/EASA certification requirements.
  • Experience in aerospace or avionics systems, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills in embedded environments, preferred.
  • Prior experience working with Boeing or large aerospace OEMs, preferred.

Benefits

  • $120,000 to $140,000 annual salary.
  • Onsite in Everett, WA for the first month, then remote work.
