Description

  • Lead test planning, execution, and reporting for developmental and operational test events across software and hardware environments.
  • Manage a team of test engineers through the full test lifecycle for assigned product lines.
  • Develop and execute system integration, developmental, operational assessment, and customer acceptance tests.
  • Define verification strategies using requirements-based, scenario-based, and operationally relevant test methods.
  • Coordinate cross-functional test activities with Program Management, Engineering, and external test ranges and agencies.
  • Oversee Test Readiness Reviews, Safety Review Boards, test incidents, and deficiency tracking.
  • Document, prioritize, and communicate issues and deviations from performance specifications or system requirements.
  • Establish test coverage metrics and maintain traceability from requirements through verification and validation results.
  • Perform and supervise data analysis on system performance in lab and operational environments.
  • Represent the program in customer reviews, readiness boards, and milestone decision points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • 5-8 years of experience in system-level test and evaluation of integrated hardware/software systems.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or test lead role.
  • Experience leading test teams of 5 or more engineers/technicians and managing complex multi-site test campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience with developmental and operational test events in lab and field environments.
  • Strong background in requirements development, test planning, verification/validation, and test reporting with traceability management.
  • Experience with RF communications, tactical datalinks, and networked C2 systems in at least one DoD operational environment.
  • Familiarity with industry and DoD test processes, including MIL-STD test protocols and government verification practices.
  • Ability to define and report test metrics such as test coverage, requirements verification, and defect closure rates.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to brief senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for test execution at ranges and field sites.
  • Ability to immediately obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Test Lead on a DoD ACAT I/II program or equivalent is preferred.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC, MIL-STD-810 environmental testing, and MIL-STD-1275/1553/1760 standards is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI implementation in test workflows, test automation frameworks, data analysis tools, and test instrumentation is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, software integration, and hardware-in-the-loop test environments is preferred.
  • Prior experience conducting test activities in remote, austere, or tactical operational settings is preferred.
  • Eligibility for Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred.
