Description

  • Own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from intake through onboarding, contract execution, and vendor activation.
  • Drive stakeholders to provide clear requirements, business justification, and budget alignment for procurement requests.
  • Evaluate vendors based on cost, capability, risk, and strategic fit, and recommend the right course of action.
  • Maintain and improve the Approved Vendor List and support vendor consolidation efforts.
  • Lead vendor onboarding, security review, and risk assessment processes with clear accountability.
  • Assess vendor security posture and map controls to NIST 800-53 requirements.
  • Prepare vendor approval packages and document approval or rejection recommendations with rationale.
  • Serve as the procurement lead during vendor security incidents and track remediation and contractual obligations.
  • Improve procurement workflows, SLAs, tooling, and process visibility across active vendors.
  • Partner with Finance on invoice discrepancies, payment issues, reconciliation, AP/AR, billing, and invoicing workflows.
  • Own contract drafting, redlining, negotiation, and execution for NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, and security addenda.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Security on complex contracting issues and build scalable templates and negotiation playbooks.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contracting, or vendor management.
  • Proven experience owning contract negotiations and execution independently.
  • Experience working with security, compliance, and legal stakeholders in a regulated or security-conscious environment.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and minimal structure while improving processes.
  • Bonus experience in FedRAMP or similarly regulated environments.
  • Strong familiarity with NIST 800-53 and third-party risk frameworks.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, SaaS, or infrastructure vendors.
  • Experience building or scaling procurement or contracting functions in a startup or high-growth company.
  • Experience supporting or owning contract review and legal workflows, including redlining and negotiation exposure; J.D. degree is a bonus.
  • Strong contract negotiation and redlining skills.
  • Ability to push back and influence stakeholders when needed.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
  • Clear, direct communication style.
  • Comfortable using Excel, Word, and tools such as Drata, Box, and Brex.
