Description

  • Draft and develop insurance contracts, policy forms, endorsements, and related materials in line with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate form filings with state insurance departments and other regulatory agencies to obtain approvals and support implementation.
  • Partner with Product Development, Legal, Operations, Claims, New Business, Internal Systems, and Insurance Administration to create compliant forms and documentation.
  • Coordinate policy review, editing, finalization, and internal approval processes for assigned contracts and forms.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for product-related materials such as marketing content, training materials, websites, and producer communications.
  • Draft and maintain applications, administrative forms, and service forms to support business and operational needs.
  • Maintain, index, and manage form and product filings in internal databases while supporting filing controls and process improvements.
  • Represent Product Compliance on cross-functional projects and ensure timely, accurate compliance deliverables.
  • Monitor and communicate regulatory and competitive developments that may affect products or the product development lifecycle.
  • Participate in industry or trade association meetings related to product and compliance matters as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of insurance industry experience with emphasis on regulatory or product compliance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of state insurance filing requirements and approval processes.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and maintaining insurance contracts, policy forms, endorsements, applications, and administrative or service forms.
  • Familiarity with group life and health insurance products and related compliance considerations.
  • Proficiency with regulatory filing systems such as SERFF and I-File, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and apply them to product development and form design.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation accuracy skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with cross-functional partners and regulatory agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, paralegal certificate, or relevant legal experience preferred.
  • Industry designations such as FLMI, AIRC, or ACS preferred.
  • Experience representing a carrier in industry associations preferred.
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments such as new product initiatives, mergers, or acquisitions preferred.
