Description

Architect systems that span multiple teams and minimize the future cost of change.
Drive convergence of shared services and reduce forked or duplicated capabilities.
Set code quality, testing, and review standards across teams.
Review work for maintainability, system fit, and safe AI-assisted development practices.
Lead difficult cross-domain investigations and mentor others in systematic debugging.
Own observability for the domain using operational and business metrics.
Lead secure design reviews and work with security on handling secrets and PII to policy.
Partner with fraud and risk stakeholders to build controls that balance abuse, friction, and loss.
Break down epics and cross-team dependencies so teams can move independently with short cycle time.
Mentor engineers, facilitate cross-team decisions, and help shape engineering strategy.

Requirements

8+ years building and operating production software.
Experience owning architecture that spans several teams.
Deep experience in at least one of TypeScript, Go, or C#.
Strong Postgres and AWS experience.
Evidence of consolidating forked or duplicated services.
Experience setting standards adopted by other teams.
OWASP fluency and secure design instincts.
Understanding of abuse patterns on payments and digital-fulfilment surfaces.
Ability to influence without authority and guide strong engineers to consensus.
Good judgement on cost, value, and AI-related risk.
