Description

  • Design and mature the secure software development lifecycle, helping engineers prioritize and remediate security findings.
  • Use deterministic and LLM-assisted automation to identify and remediate application vulnerabilities.
  • Design and implement supply chain security controls for third-party dependencies, feature integrity, and release integrity.
  • Integrate scalable vulnerability detection and remediation across container and cloud infrastructure delivery, including scanning, signing, admission control, and runtime security.
  • Run vulnerability management programs, coordinate penetration tests, and define and track vulnerability metrics.
  • Define secure-by-design patterns and success criteria for authentication, authorization, cloud networking, secrets management, and IAM.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customers and security vendors on findings, remediation priorities, risk acceptance, and strategic security outcomes.
  • Perform hands-on security engineering, including building tooling and remediating complex issues.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering or security engineering.
  • Deep hands-on experience across application security, cloud and infrastructure security, and detection and response.
  • Demonstrated experience threat modeling and securing systems handling payments, sensitive financial data, or personally identifiable information.
  • Fluency in AWS security and modern authentication and authorization patterns.
  • Proficiency in at least one of DigitalZone’s core programming languages.
  • Working knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, OWASP, and SOC 2, with the ability to operationalize these frameworks without slowing delivery.
  • Strong judgment in evaluating security risks and tradeoffs.
  • Clear, practical communication skills with engineers and leadership.
