Description

  • Define and communicate the studio vision in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop strategic plans to guide studio growth, market positioning, and long-term execution.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and areas for expansion.
  • Oversee day-to-day studio operations and cross-department collaboration across IT, Legal, Production, HR, and Recruitment.
  • Improve operational efficiency, quality, and cost management across service departments.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quarterly and yearly OKRs and operational KPIs across the studio.
  • Work closely with the CEO, CFO, Head of BD, Production, and Marketing to support revenue and margin growth.
  • Build, recruit, and lead a high-performing studio team.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, teamwork, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Support employee training, professional development, and retention initiatives with HR.
  • Own the studio P&L and manage budget execution against revenue and margin targets.
  • Lead studio forecasting, budgeting, capacity planning, and bench risk management with Finance and Production.
  • Partner on motivation plans and bonus systems tied to sales, revenue, and margins.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a GM, Head of Studio, or similar leader, with solid background as a Project Manager, Producer, and/or PMO in the video games industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in the games or entertainment industry, including extensive hands-on production or project management experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in an executive or senior leadership role such as General Manager, Head of Studio, or Head of Production.
  • 3-4 years of experience at a service provider such as a full-cycle game development, co-development, or art outsourcing studio.
  • Proven track record of strategic planning, business growth, and revenue/headcount growth.
  • Experience driving operational efficiency, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance or operational metrics.
  • Experience with Big4 audits and IT/business infrastructure.
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and managing a performance-driven team.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong strategic mindset, business acumen, and problem-solving ability.
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • MSc or MBA is a plus.
