Description

Learn new technical products quickly and translate them into clear documentation and explanations.
Build tools and AI workflows that streamline documentation and content production.
Write documentation, blog posts, and social content.
Analyze messy knowledge structures and redesign them into clearer systems.
Ask detailed questions to understand client problems and simplify complex information.
Consult with clients and stakeholders on documentation-related needs and technical issues.
Improve DevDocs’ internal processes, tooling, and experimental workflows.
Ship work that is used directly by clients and the company.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in software, hardware, or another technical field.
Degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A portfolio of written work.
Ability to learn quickly and work independently without extensive direction.
Strong, clear writing style.
Engineering mindset and enjoyment of solving puzzles.
Experience working with clients or stakeholders.
Interest in building projects for fun or to solve problems.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada; no sponsorship available.

$40–75/hour based on experience and qualifications.
