Description

  • Own the API and developer experience for content workflows at scale.
  • Build a platform that enables teams to import media, run AI-powered edits, and export content programmatically.
  • Launch integrations including MCP wrappers, no-code workflow platforms, and strategic partner integrations.
  • Work with the Agentic AI team to shape editing capabilities and how they are exposed through the API.
  • Define positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for the business line with Sales and Marketing.
  • Help turn Descript's editing capabilities into infrastructure that media businesses can depend on.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of product management experience shipping internal APIs, developer platforms, or foundational systems.
  • Experience shipping technical products and building products that enable other teams.
  • Experience taking products from 0 to 1 and creating the playbook for success in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Experience with customer discovery and defining features that solve real customer problems.
  • Ability to build new products from scratch and operate comfortably in uncertainty.
  • A customer-first mindset that starts with understanding user needs before the technology.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with AI, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • A creative, quirky, or humorous fit with Descript's culture is preferred but not required.
  • Must include the word "analog" as the first word in the cover letter when applying.
