Description

  • Build and maintain the Rust-based backend services for Clairvo using Axum, Tokio, and SQLx.
  • Develop and support event-driven workflows using Redis streams and coordinated state across services.
  • Work on real-time telephony infrastructure, including PSTN dialing, Twilio SIP trunking, VoIP, and LiveKit call lifecycles.
  • Implement and maintain the custom power-dialer kernel with parallel and sequential state machines.
  • Integrate live audio and call intelligence features using OpenAI, Bedrock, SageMaker, and AssemblyAI.
  • Debug and resolve production issues in systems where calls are happening live.
  • Collaborate in a small, high-ownership team using a spec/docs-first approach.
  • Build systems that tolerate partial failure and non-obvious distributed-state issues.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Rust and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience building backend or fullstack systems in production.
  • Solid understanding of Postgres, including concepts like lock waits.
  • Comfort working with concurrency, async systems, and partial failure.
  • Ability to debug real production issues.
  • Experience working with event-driven systems that coordinate across services.
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems that can fail in non-obvious ways.
  • Nice to have: WebRTC, SIP, or VoIP experience.
  • Nice to have: AWS experience with EKS, ECS, or Terraform.
  • Nice to have: React experience and interest in owning features end-to-end.
  • Willingness to learn telephony-related systems quickly, even without prior experience.
