Description

  • Lead development of Magento 2 frontend solutions, including custom themes and storefront architecture.
  • Build and maintain storefronts using custom themes, Hyvä, or headless approaches.
  • Develop responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces with strong attention to detail.
  • Drive frontend best practices for performance, accessibility, maintainability, and code quality.
  • Optimize storefront performance, including Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, and loading strategies.
  • Integrate frontend components with Magento APIs and support REST/GraphQL data flow.
  • Collaborate closely with backend, DevOps, design, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews and support team members with guidance and best practices.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, including headless, Hyvä, and PWA setups.
  • Maintain clean, modular, and reusable frontend code while improving frontend standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce frontend.
  • Experience with Hyvä.
  • Expert-level hand-coding in HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors such as LESS or Sass.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first approaches.
  • Good understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Experience working with Git.
  • Understanding of OOP, MVC, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Ability to read and work with PHP code for integration needs.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with React and Next.js for headless/PWA projects is a plus.
