Description

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for OpenStack-based cloud platforms and act as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Develop engineering standards, patterns, and reusable designs while mentoring other engineers.
  • Design, implement, and manage the OpenStack platform, including compute, storage, and networking components.
  • Own the full platform lifecycle, including build, deployment, optimization, and scaling.
  • Design and support large-scale storage platforms and oversee block, object, and distributed storage services.
  • Drive infrastructure-as-code, automation, deployment tooling, orchestration templates, and pipelines.
  • Support ongoing operations through monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to platform strategy, innovation, and the transition to open-source technologies.
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering, Security Operations, Product Management, Customer Success, and external partners such as Canonical.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in a senior cloud engineering or infrastructure engineering role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating large-scale cloud platforms or distributed systems.
  • Proven expertise in Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and automation principles.
  • Experience working in a managed service or service provider environment delivering high-availability solutions.
  • Experience with OpenStack and associated technologies including compute, networking, and orchestration services (desirable).
  • Experience with distributed storage platforms and data services (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Canonical tooling and cloud deployment models (desirable).
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent tooling (desirable).
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant environments and large-scale infrastructure platforms (desirable).
