Description

  • Provide accurate and timely real-time interpretation between Nepali and English during calls and meetings.
  • Facilitate clear communication between clients and service providers across various settings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interpreting sensitive information.
  • Exhibit cultural awareness and sensitivity to ensure respectful communication.
  • Stay informed on relevant terminology and subject-matter vocabulary to enhance interpretation quality.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and best practices for interpreters in all interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and improve interpreting skills.
  • Remain calm and professional in challenging or high-pressure situations.

Requirements

  • Fluency in both Nepali and English with excellent written and spoken command of both languages.
  • Previous experience in interpretation or a related field preferred.
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Cultural competence and ability to navigate diverse client backgrounds.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, and to follow rotational weekly off schedules.
  • Ability to perform accurate real-time interpretation during calls and meetings.
