Description

  • Render correct concepts and meanings between Italian and English, preserving complexity, clarity, tone, and style while upholding proper grammar and syntax in both languages.
  • Provide strict renditions of messages, including every detail of the conversation, and handle challenging calls as needed.
  • Employ professional customer service and communication skills, using clear enunciation, correct pronunciation, and a pleasant, professional voice.
  • Follow client instructions, manage the flow of the call, and avoid taking over the call or interacting with the limited-English speaker without client permission.
  • Remain calm and maintain interpreting accuracy if a primary speaker is incoherent, upset, or in emergency situations.
  • Be punctual and available during scheduled work hours.
  • Ensure reliable access to the internet for work-related electronic communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and Italian (language proficiency levels referenced: C2, C1, B2, Native) (OCI Required).
  • Advanced understanding of cultural dynamics, including cultural implications and idiomatic expressions in Italian.
  • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain high accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emotionally charged or emergency calls.
  • Reliable internet access and availability during scheduled hours.
