Description

  • Interpret spoken communication between Gujarati and English during client calls, conveying concepts, tone, style, and preserving grammar and syntax.
  • Provide strict renditions of messages including every relevant detail and be prepared to handle challenging calls.
  • Manage the flow of calls according to client instructions, avoid taking over the conversation, and refrain from interacting with limited-English speakers without client permission.
  • Employ professional customer service and communication: clear enunciation, pleasant/professional voice, and polite forms of expression.
  • Remain calm, neutral, and objective during calls, including when speakers are incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations.
  • Explain cultural concepts or idiomatic meanings to clients when requested or permitted to avoid miscommunication.
  • Use excellent listening, retention, and note-taking to maintain high accuracy.
  • Be punctual, available during scheduled work hours, and ensure reliable internet access for work-related electronic communication.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Native fluency in Gujarati and English.
  • Advanced knowledge of Gujarati cultural dynamics and idiomatic expressions.
  • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to concentrate, remain detached from the conversation, and stay neutral and objective.
  • Willingness and ability to explain cultural concepts to clients when requested or permitted.
  • Comfortable working rotational shifts, including night shifts.
  • Reliable internet access and availability during scheduled hours.
