Description

  • Provide verbal interpretation services between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Accurately interpret medical conversations, including patient history, diagnosis, treatment options, and instructions.
  • Assist with translating medical documents and forms.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow professional and ethical standards.
  • Stay current on medical terminology and procedures.
  • Build rapport and trust with patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Fluent in both English and German, spoken and written.
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to different dialects and accents.
  • Strong listening and comprehension skills.
  • Highly professional and empathetic demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Computer with Intel Core i5 8th generation or newer, or Ryzen 5 3000 series or higher, with at least 4 cores / 8 threads, 8–16 GB RAM, and 256 GB SSD or larger.
  • Mandatory wired Ethernet connection; VPN use is not allowed and work must be performed only from the approved location.
  • Wired headset with boom microphone, unidirectional and noise-cancelling; wireless devices, earbuds, and speaker use are not allowed.
  • 1080p camera with 30–60 fps and autofocus, built-in or equivalent external camera such as Logitech C920.
  • Ability to follow restrictions on storing company information, making recordings, taking screenshots, or using built-in translation features.
