Description

  • Listen to, understand, and accurately interpret conversations between customers/clients speaking different languages (English and French) in real time.
  • Ensure interpretations are clear, precise, culturally appropriate, and preserve the intent and tone of the original message.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and organizational guidelines related to the interpretation process.
  • Meet or exceed established quality, productivity, and compliance goals for the interpreter role.
  • Implement client updates, process changes, and policy enhancements as communicated by leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive or private information.
  • Participate in training, coaching, and quality calibration sessions and apply feedback to improve performance.
  • Explain cultural concepts to clients, when requested or permitted, to prevent miscommunication.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and French (levels referenced: C2, C1, B2, Native; OCI required as stated).
  • Advanced knowledge of cultural dynamics, idiomatic expressions, and cultural implications in French.
  • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain high interpretation accuracy.
  • Ability to concentrate, remain detached from conversations, and stay neutral and objective at all times.
  • Willingness to follow SOPs, client instructions, and organizational policies.
  • Ability to participate in ongoing training, coaching, and quality calibration activities.
