Description

  • Design, build, and operate cloud network infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Oracle in a multi-region environment.
  • Own connectivity between clouds, customers, and developers to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable network paths.
  • Set technical direction for expanding data centers and evolving the network while maintaining stability and performance.
  • Improve cross-site and cross-region connectivity patterns to support Datadog’s platform growth.
  • Lead troubleshooting and investigations for latency and connectivity issues, including escalations from customer support.
  • Identify and deliver network efficiency and cost-saving improvements that benefit the business.
  • Partner with internal teams and cloud service providers to resolve complex connectivity challenges and integrate new networking capabilities.
  • Participate in production incident response and on-call ownership where applicable.

Requirements

  • Deep networking expertise with the ability to build software in a networking-heavy domain.
  • Experience designing and evolving large-scale networks, including interconnected environments.
  • Substantial on-prem networking experience, such as routing and operating network equipment at scale, and/or cloud networking experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Ability to own ambiguous problems, set direction, and drive cross-team collaboration across time zones.
  • Practical experience operating production infrastructure and responding to incidents, including on-call ownership where applicable.
  • Experience working with multi-region and/or multi-cloud network environments is preferred.
  • Comfort troubleshooting complex latency and connectivity issues.
  • Interest in growing skills and contributing in a high-impact infrastructure role.
