Description

  • Meet with CIOs, IT and line-of-business executives, program managers, and other key decision makers to advance opportunities.
  • Close new accounts and expand business within existing accounts, balancing quick wins and longer complex sales cycles.
  • Guide deals forward to compress decision cycles and grow customer vision and adoption of Databricks solutions.
  • Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets, and pursue accelerators tied to quota attainment.
  • Track customer details, use cases, purchase timeframes, next steps, and forecasts in Salesforce.
  • Use a solution-based selling approach to create value for customers and system integrators.
  • Promote and position Databricks’ enterprise cloud data platform powered by Apache Spark.
  • Prioritize opportunities and allocate appropriate internal and external resources to maximize win rates.
  • Build and execute account plans internally at Databricks and externally with customer stakeholders to ensure customer success and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience exceeding sales quotas in field sales or enterprise account roles.
  • Field sales experience within big data, cloud, or SaaS sales.
  • Prior relationships and experience engaging with CIOs, program managers, and other senior decision makers.
  • Proven success closing new accounts while growing existing accounts.
  • Experience working at or navigating early-stage company environments.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex cloud technologies and value propositions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Expertise with financial services institutions preferred.
  • Understanding of Apache Spark and big data platforms preferred.
  • Experience tracking customer use cases and forecasting in Salesforce (implied/expected).

  • On-target earnings (OTE) pay range: $272,000–$374,000 (Zone 1–4).
