Description

  • Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can address their business problems.
  • Provide technical leadership to support customer evaluation and adoption of Databricks.
  • Consult on big data architecture and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
  • Implement proof-of-concepts for strategic customer projects, including data science and machine learning initiatives.
  • Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers.
  • Work with customers, product teams, and post-sales teams to identify use cases and guide implementation.
  • Build customer relationships, develop champions, and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Promote Databricks open-source projects through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
  • Travel to customers in your region.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
  • Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
  • Comfortable programming in and debugging at least one of the following: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
  • Experience supporting Public Sector clients.
  • Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in at least one data engineering technology such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • Expertise in at least one data warehousing area such as SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS.
  • Expertise in at least one data science or machine learning technology such as pandas, scikit-learn, or HPO.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research is desired.
  • Secret security clearance or willingness to obtain one.
