Description

  • Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers through the administration of Databricks from design to deployment.
  • Architect production-level deployments that meet security and networking requirements.
  • Develop deep expertise in a specialty area such as cloud platforms, automation, security, networking, or identity management.
  • Assist Solution Architects with advanced technical sales activities, including custom proof-of-concept content and custom architectures.
  • Deliver tutorials and training to support community adoption, including hackathons and conference presentations.
  • Contribute technical knowledge and engagement to the Databricks Community.
  • Support customers with the successful implementation of essential workloads and alignment to their technical roadmap.
  • Strengthen customer deployments by helping extend Databricks environments for complex needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas: cloud platforms and architecture, security, networking, identity management, platform administration, or infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on production experience with public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience maintaining and extending Databricks environments to support complex requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Terraform experience is desirable.
  • 2 years of professional experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • 2 years of customer-facing experience in a pre-sales or post-sales role.
  • Ability to meet technical training and role-specific outcomes within 6 months of hire.
  • Remote work eligibility with travel up to 30% when needed.
