Description

  • Craft and execute a long-term vision and strategy for Authentication.
  • Balance uncompromised security with a frictionless user experience in the authentication flow.
  • Recruit and mentor engineering talent to scale security infrastructure.
  • Represent Security Engineering across the organization and drive executive-level, data-informed decisions.
  • Present Databricks’ security innovations at major academic and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Security or related areas.
  • Expertise in two or more of the following: Authentication, Network Security, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, or Detection & Response.
  • Experience building systems at large-scale internet companies is a huge plus.
  • 15+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
  • Leadership experience to lead across functional and organizational lines.
  • Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize Data Security to senior leaders across the company.
  • Bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
