Description

  • Lead customer technical projects and deliver production-grade systems.
  • Design and build reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
  • Own architecture and lead design decisions for secure, scalable solutions.
  • Work with engagement managers to scope technical delivery work.
  • Collaborate with Databricks engineering, product, developer relations, project managers, architects, and customer teams.
  • Provide customer guidance, training, and technical support to drive adoption of Databricks.
  • Embed with customer teams to understand needs from individual contributors to executives.
  • Provide implementation feedback and help resolve product and support issues.
  • Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that can scale across accounts.
  • Support strategic initiatives that shape long-term priorities and influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Experience writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems: AWS, Azure, or GCP, with expertise in one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying end-to-end data architectures and applications with pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to travel to customers 20% of the time.
  • Databricks Certification (required).
