Description

  • Manage and grow a small set of assigned enterprise accounts mapped to the CME umbrella.
  • Build and maintain relationships with CIOs, IT and LOB executives, program managers, and key decision makers.
  • Drive value-based growth within accounts and expand the Databricks footprint into new business units and use cases.
  • Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets through proactive opportunity generation and deal execution.
  • Use a solution-based selling approach to create customer value and simplify technical capabilities into business benefits.
  • Track customer details, use cases, purchase timeframes, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce.
  • Prioritize opportunities and coordinate appropriate internal and external resources to progress deals.
  • Promote Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform (powered by Apache Spark™ and Delta Lake) to customers and system integrators.
  • Build and execute account plans internally at Databricks and externally with customers to compress decision cycles and close deals.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Enterprise Sales experience with a history of exceeding quotas in larger accounts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Previous field sales experience in big data, cloud, SaaS, and a consumption-based selling motion.
  • Prior customer relationships with CIOs, program managers, and other essential decision makers at local accounts.
  • Experience managing a focused set of enterprise accounts rather than a broad territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell innovation and change by expanding customer vision and compressing decision cycles.
  • Comfortable operating with limited oversight and experience in early-stage or fast-growing company environments.
  • An informed point of view on Big Data, Advanced Analytics, and AI to guide execution strategy and provide client value.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear, value-based benefits for customers.
