Description

  • Work with clients on short- to medium-term professional services engagements focused on big data challenges.
  • Design and build reference architectures, how-to guides, and customer use cases.
  • Scope professional services work with engagement managers and customer input.
  • Guide customers through transformational big data projects and third-party migrations.
  • Lead end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
  • Consult on architecture and design and bootstrap or implement customer projects.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
  • Coordinate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement outcomes.
  • Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
  • Train customers and perform other technical tasks that help them get value from their data.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.
  • Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope and timelines.
  • Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Ability to travel to customers 10% of the time.
  • Databricks Certification is preferred but not required.
