Description

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Product and Engineering organizations and support annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and decision-making.
  • Drive the annual R&D and cloud hosting budget process and integrate bottom-up inputs into an overall financial plan.
  • Analyze monthly cost variances and expenditure trends, identify root causes, and recommend actions to improve performance.
  • Monitor business unit results, including risk identification, mitigation, and opportunity generation.
  • Build and systematize product-level P&L reporting to improve visibility into unit economics, gross margin, and investment efficiency.
  • Own the financial framework for Product Quarterly Business Reviews and translate performance into roadmap and resource planning decisions.
  • Implement modern planning system dashboards in Pigment to deliver forward-looking insights across Product and Engineering.
  • Apply AI in finance to improve decision velocity, streamline forecasting, and free time for deeper business partnership.
  • Partner with leadership on integrated planning, roadmap cycles, and value-chain expansion opportunities.
  • Lead financial modeling and analysis for product-centric M&A, new partnerships, new product lines, and pricing/packaging initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of well-rounded finance experience, including FP&A or finance/operations roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Experience with a SaaS business model and a global company is a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to simplify complexity into clear financial models and narratives.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal presentations and written business memos.
  • Experience building scalable processes and leveraging automation.
  • Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and influence skills at the senior leadership level.
  • Advanced planning system proficiency in Pigment and Adaptive is required or strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AI/ML applications is considered a strong plus.
  • CPA, CFA, or CBV designation is considered an asset.

  • Base salary range of $125,000 to $150,000 CAD.
