Description

  • Assess client borrowing capacity, affordability, income, liabilities, expenses, assets, and overall financial position.
  • Complete servicing calculations, scenario modelling, LVR reviews, and lender comparisons using Excel.
  • Research lender policies and recommend suitable loan structures for residential, investment, refinance, construction, and other lending scenarios.
  • Prepare mortgage applications, supporting documentation, and compliant loan submissions for broker review.
  • Identify servicing, policy, and credit issues early and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Manage applications through approval and settlement, including lender queries, conditions, and outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate client and application records, workflows, notes, tasks, and documentation in Connective Mercury.
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, lenders, and BDMs to obtain information and progress applications.
  • Track application milestones, deadlines, missing documents, and pipeline priorities to prevent delays.

Requirements

  • Significant experience as a Senior Credit Analyst, Para-Broker, Mortgage Loan Processor, Credit Assessor, or similar.
  • Experience supporting Australian mortgage brokers or lenders.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian residential mortgage lending and lender credit policies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for calculations, analysis, and loan scenario modelling.
  • Experience assessing complex income structures, including PAYG and self-employed borrowers.
  • Experience preparing and progressing mortgage applications.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage multiple active applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to work independently.
  • Connective Mercury or Mercury Nexus experience (highly preferred).
  • Australian mortgage broking or finance qualifications, and experience with construction, investment, refinance lending, multiple lenders, or lender BDMs (preferred).
