Description

  • Conduct conflict checks, open new matters, and manage client onboarding in the practice management system.
  • Prepare and send engagement letters, fee estimates, and client communications as directed.
  • Complete AML/CFT verification, including identification, proof of address, and source of funds documentation.
  • Draft conveyancing documents and correspondence from verbal and written instructions, including agreements, loan documents, and company or trust minutes.
  • Manage residential and commercial conveyancing matters from conditions through to settlement.
  • Track and advise on conditions such as finance, LIM, builder's reports, due diligence, and insurance cover.
  • Negotiate amendments to agreements and collate instructions to confirm satisfaction or waiver of conditions.
  • Prepare settlement statements, arrange signing of loan and authority documents, and coordinate settlement with lenders and solicitors.
  • Perform pre-settlement title searches, confirm trust account funds, and complete post-settlement notifications and reporting.
  • Handle file management, trust account reconciliation, invoicing, title searches, LINZ registrations, company annual returns, and file closures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a conveyancing or property law environment, preferably in New Zealand.
  • Solid working knowledge of the New Zealand conveyancing process, including LINZ dealings and e-dealing platforms.
  • Experience with AML/CFT compliance procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, and intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with legal practice management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-friendly manner.
  • Ability to take clear instruction from partners, solicitors, and clients and act independently.
  • A legal studies qualification or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.

Benefits

  • PHP 90,000 to PHP 110,000 per month, depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM NZT.
