Description

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of autonomous robotic systems at customer facilities.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess automation readiness, infrastructure constraints, and operational design domain requirements.
  • Generate 3D and semantic maps and validate localization and navigation performance.
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and commission robotic systems in live production environments.
  • Train customer operators, maintenance teams, and site stakeholders, and manage the handoff to support.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact during deployments and early operations.
  • Work directly with customer IT teams to configure networks and resolve firewall and port issues.
  • Run regular performance reviews with customers and use data to drive operational improvements and adoption.
  • Analyze robot logs, sensor data, and system metrics to diagnose hardware, software, perception, and infrastructure issues.
  • Own incident resolution across Tier 1–3 support and provide root-cause documentation.
  • Monitor fleet health and KPIs using Grafana and internal dashboards.
  • Provide structured feedback from the field to Product, Engineering, QA, and Perception teams.
  • Support validation activities including field-of-view studies, data collection, and perception audits.
  • Collaborate with OEM partners to integrate robotics hardware and software into new vehicle platforms.
  • Build and maintain deployment playbooks, checklists, and Jira-based workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or industrial automation.
  • Experience as a Field Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, Integration Engineer, or similar role is highly preferred.
  • Deep comfort with Linux and ROS tools such as rviz, rosbag, and tf for visualization and debugging.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments such as warehouses and yards.
  • Ability to travel 50-70% of the time and work independently in the field.
  • Experience with robotics deployment, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience configuring networks and working in customer IT environments.
  • Experience working directly at customer sites in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and sensor data to diagnose complex system issues.
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, mobile robots, or drones is a bonus qualification.
  • Familiarity with 3D LiDAR systems such as Hesai or Ouster is a bonus qualification.
  • Experience with mapping, localization, and perception validation is a bonus qualification.
  • Exposure to Grafana, Jira, TestRail, Docker, or Git is a bonus qualification.
  • Strong documentation and process-building mindset is a bonus qualification.
  • Ability to perform physical work in industrial settings, including lifting and maneuvering objects up to 80 lbs.
