Description

  • Lead cloud operations, enterprise systems engineering, and hybrid-cloud services supporting USMEPCOM.
  • Architect secure, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud solutions aligned with mission requirements.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot VPCs, routing, security groups, and connectivity across cloud, on-premises, DISA-hosted, continuity, and remote environments.
  • Engineer and support cloud DNS, load balancers, API gateways, integrations, and digital certificates.
  • Monitor availability, performance, capacity, cost, and operational risk; resolve cloud infrastructure and service issues.
  • Coordinate outage diagnosis, mitigation, restoration, validation, and root-cause analysis with response teams.
  • Lead installations, upgrades, migrations, component refreshes, and deployments, including implementation, testing, and rollback planning.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code and automation for provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Design hybrid-cloud integrations, backup, disaster recovery, and continuity capabilities.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and lifecycle records, support DoD security compliance, and mentor engineering staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of relevant cloud engineering, systems engineering, systems architecture, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise IT experience.
  • Current AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer certification.
  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Ability to provide after-hours support during outages, maintenance windows, deployments, migrations, and infrastructure refreshes.
  • Experience leading cloud or systems-engineering activities in federal or DoD environments, including AWS GovCloud or other government-authorized clouds (preferred).
  • Advanced experience with Amazon VPC, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, API Gateway, AWS Certificate Manager, and AWS monitoring and security services (preferred).
  • Experience with cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, resilient hybrid architectures, and tools including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and VMware technologies (preferred).
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs, DoD RMF, NIST controls, IAVAs, CND Directives, and ATO support (preferred).
  • AWS Solutions Architect, Advanced Networking, Security, or DevOps Engineer; Azure Administrator; VMware; or ITIL Foundation certifications are preferred.
