Description

  • Own the Finance product vision and continuously refine the roadmap in alignment with Finance leadership and enterprise strategy.
  • Manage the end-to-end product backlog, including prioritization, refinement, sprint planning, and iteration reviews.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and deliverable user stories for the development team.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance leadership, technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making, negotiate trade-offs, and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership.
  • Lead transformation of finance processes across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and Collections.
  • Oversee documentation and continuous improvement of financial business processes.
  • Ensure system design aligns with accounting principles, compliance requirements, and audit standards.
  • Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across financial systems and integrations.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support predictable, high-quality delivery by managing scope, blockers, and delivery risks.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Product Owner experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Salesforce.com, Zuora billing, and Certinia (FinancialForce).
  • Deep understanding of core finance and accounting business processes.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile best practices, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and user story development.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Mature, professional presence with the ability to engage senior leadership.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, team-first attitude.
  • Prior consulting experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or Power BI is preferred.
  • CSPO, IIBA, or PMI-PBA certification is preferred.
