Description

  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize complex business and technical requirements for improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Write functional and technical specifications to support system analysis and solution delivery.
  • Collaborate on systems design and architecture, including user interface design, prototyping, data modeling, and solution configuration.
  • Maintain a current-state view of processes, systems, and performance metrics and identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and strategic advisor to senior leaders within assigned departments.
  • Monitor the impact of process improvements, automation, and IT solutions within finance operations.
  • Ensure data integrity across financial systems, including accurate data flow, integration, and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Act as the functional product owner for Finance and help drive application and business process solutions.
  • Coordinate training activities to support proper system usage by business partners.
  • Support project delivery through scope definition, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation.
  • Champion process and system optimization initiatives using data-driven insights and best practices.
  • Partner with IT and business leadership to shape and prioritize the organizational roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Business Systems Analyst experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant experience.
  • Solid technical knowledge of application systems and processes, including Salesforce, Zuora billing, Certinia, or other core financial applications.
  • Understanding of finance and accounting processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and Collections.
  • Experience with systems architecture, workflow design, and technical specification writing.
  • Knowledge of agile best practices for requirements gathering and process mapping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
  • Fast learner with an analytical growth mindset, curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Initiative, innovation, and a mature presence when engaging with senior leadership.
  • Collaborative team-player mindset with a positive outlook and team-first attitude.
  • Prior consulting experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or PowerBI is preferred.
  • IIBA or PMI-PBA certification is preferred.
