Description

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases with emphasis on automation to shorten the test cycle.
  • Estimate test efforts, analyze and communicate test results, and participate in day-to-day QA activities.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and improve test frameworks, tools, and automation technologies used by the organization.
  • Create, execute, and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across mobile and backend systems.
  • Collaborate with Development, Test, and Product Management to design and implement test and validation strategies.
  • Execute and manage test cases and results, reporting on test and defect metrics.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a Continuous Integration (CI) environment and participate in ongoing process improvement activities.
  • Identify required improvements in test and development processes and contribute automation tools to address those needs.
  • Maintain a high quality bar in a complex and evolving product and codebase.

Requirements

  • Experience with mobile testing and automated test techniques across the software development cycle.
  • Experience automating REST and WebSocket API tests using Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as Pytest, Pytest-bdd, Appium, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Strong object-oriented programming, coding, and debugging skills with practical design and development experience in Python or Java.
  • Understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multi-threading concepts.
  • Proven ability to translate functional requirements and use cases into working test plans and test cases.
  • Some knowledge of continuous integration practices and tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
  • Experience working in an agile environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work across Windows and Linux environments is a plus.
  • Strong customer focus, problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication; familiarity with coding standards and participation in code reviews.
