Description

  • Design and build shared backend services and APIs used across multiple systems.
  • Define service boundaries, contracts, and data models.
  • Own the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and iteration.
  • Contribute to domain modeling and system design decisions.
  • Ensure services are scalable, reliable, reusable, and maintainable.
  • Improve system cohesion and reduce duplication across tools and products.
  • Use AI tools throughout development while maintaining high code quality.
  • Balance delivery speed with long-term extensibility and maintainability.
  • Operate across the stack and collaborate effectively within small engineering pods.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong backend expertise with the ability to work across the full stack when needed.
  • Experience designing service-oriented or distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to model complex domains.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Solid understanding of the full SDLC.
  • Daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools beyond basic code generation.
  • Experience leveraging AI across prototyping, debugging, test generation, QA, code review, and security analysis.
  • Familiarity with modern AI-enabled development environments and practices.
  • Preferred experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CI/CD, DevOps practices, REST/GraphQL/event-driven API design, Kafka or SQS, event sourcing, CQRS, SQL and NoSQL data modeling, logging/metrics/tracing, Python, TypeScript, Golang, Rust, and basic data engineering principles.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
