Description

  • Build and maintain project plans with clear milestones, deadlines, and ownership.
  • Track progress across Engineering, QA, Product, Finance, and external partners to keep work on schedule.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups and help teams surface, resolve, and escalate blockers and risks early.
  • Manage release operations end to end, from readiness checks and sign-offs through deployment and post-release confirmation.
  • Coordinate deployment meetings and release scheduling with the external DevOps partner.
  • Manage release communications, including advance notices, day-of updates, and post-release updates.
  • Keep the Director of Product informed on status, timeline risks, and action items for stakeholder alignment.
  • Maintain accurate project tracking, time entries, and release documentation to support reporting and compliance.
  • Identify process friction, improve workflows, and look for automation opportunities, including AI-enabled options.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience in a software development environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior or lead project manager role.
  • Ability to operate independently and make day-to-day delivery decisions.
  • Strong ability to build project plans, track milestones, and hold cross-functional teams accountable.
  • Comfort facilitating meetings with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with release management processes, including QA gating, stakeholder sign-offs, and deployment coordination.
  • Experience with project tracking and time-entry tools; Jira and Tempo experience is a plus.
  • Clear written communication skills.
  • Experience managing external partner relationships and holding them accountable to timelines.
  • Willingness to be available for off-hours, nighttime releases and escalation support.
