Description

  • Serve private equity portfolio company clients within the Office of the CFO and help create a diagnostic framework to improve finance function effectiveness.
  • Lead parts of the implementation of a portfolio support capability for Software and SaaS clients.
  • Develop bottoms-up annual budgets and forecasts using operational drivers and key SaaS metrics such as bookings and headcount.
  • Prepare financial management reports across key metrics including ARR, bookings, and headcount, and compare actuals to prior year, forecast, and budget.
  • Assess the current state and build or modify analytical resources, tools, models, metrics, and methodologies to improve decision support.
  • Build ARR roll-forward models and snowballs to track key movements and better understand gross and net retention.
  • Support cash management, including the development of monthly and 13-week cash flow forecasts.
  • Transition solutions back to private equity portfolio company teams for ongoing use.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio company representatives while collaborating with CrossCountry team members to deliver client service.
  • Mentor team members and help project teams resolve complex, multi-faceted issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, preferably in a private equity-backed company.
  • Software or SaaS industry experience.
  • Experience building strong client relationships.
  • Experience working with Controllers and accounting teams and understanding revenue recognition, income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including experience building complex models for analysis and forecasting.
  • Ability to summarize key data into executive dashboards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tables, and strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or SQL is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • CPA is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% depending on client preferences.
  • Comfort with responsibly using firm-approved AI tools and openness to learning emerging technologies such as AI and automation.
