Description

  • Partner with sales teams and customers using a value-based selling approach to build compelling narratives and business cases that answer “Why change?”, “Why Cribl?” and “Why now?”
  • Lead technical value discovery sessions with senior executives and technical stakeholders to uncover business impact and shape customer business cases
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for new business, expansions, cross-sell opportunities, and renewal value realization analyses
  • Create and maintain financial models, TCO/ROI analyses, value discovery question sets, and a value metrics database for internal and customer use
  • Build content, frameworks, tools, and best practices to enable sellers to independently develop and communicate value
  • Enable and train sales teams on self-serve value content and tools to scale value selling across the GTM organization
  • Support GTM-scale projects (~20% of time) to improve value-selling processes, templates, and measurement while spending ~80% of time on direct customer engagements
  • Occasionally travel for customer engagements and company events (approximately 10–20%) and perform duties across time zones as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preference for business management, finance, accounting, economics, information systems, or computer science; MBA from a top-tier institution highly preferred
  • Senior Value Engineer: 5–10+ years in enterprise software strategy/business operations, technology/management consulting, investment banking, or value engineering; Principal Value Engineer: 10+ years of experience
  • Expert-level skills in Google Sheets and Google Slides
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling experience, with demonstrated TCO and ROI analysis capabilities
  • Proven consultative selling experience and ability to act as a trusted advisor with customers and sales teams
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies (Force Management, Challenger Selling, MEDDPPICC, and 3 Why)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Omni, Salesforce (SFDC), Clari, DecisionLink, Mediafly, Spotlight, and ecosystems is a plus
  • Technical knowledge of networking, cloud infrastructure, IT operations, observability, and/or security is a plus
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments; polished verbal and written communicator
  • Willingness to travel ~10–20% and occasionally work outside standard hours to support customers across time zones
