Description

  • Prepare and review U.S. individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, and 1065.
  • Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and entity structuring matters.
  • Represent clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collection cases.
  • Prepare responses to IRS notices and support tax controversy matters.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings in accordance with IRS and state-specific guidelines.
  • Coordinate with accounting, legal, and other cross-functional teams on tax issues.
  • Stay current on U.S. tax laws, international tax treaties, and IRS updates.
  • Support ITIN applications and acceptance agent services when applicable.
  • Train and support junior staff or tax associates as needed.

Requirements

  • Current Enrolled Agent (EA) credential with active IRS authorization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation and consulting.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. tax codes, especially for individuals and small businesses.
  • Experience with tax software such as Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax, or similar.
  • Familiarity with FATCA, FBAR, and foreign asset reporting.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related tax tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with complex tax issues and strategies is a plus.
