Description

  • Ensure adherence to contractual SLAs and communicate service status clearly to stakeholders.
  • Lead urgent issues and projects, including coordinating staffing resources as needed.
  • Design, build, support, and manage cloud engineering activities and automation modules using Puppet.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Linux, networking, and load balancing environments.
  • Work with development engineering teams to create and deploy CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement environments for QA, development, and production support.
  • Deploy and support applications in cloud environments.
  • Maintain infrastructure security and ensure environments are secure, reliable, scalable, and automated.
  • Provide direct server support during deployments and general production operations.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and best practices.
  • Design, implement, and test agreed-upon infrastructure solutions.
  • Automate deployment of Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
  • 3-7 years of related professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, AWS, CloudFormation, Ansible, Subversion, and Docker.
  • Strong experience administering cloud-hosted environments on a major IaaS platform such as AWS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling.
  • Experience with virtualization of servers, applications, and desktops, including data center requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Chef.
  • Experience with infrastructure tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with CI/CD toolchains, including Kubernetes.
  • Basic scripting experience in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Linux distributions including RHEL 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Flexible attitude and versatile personality.
