Description

  • Own outcomes by choosing the highest-impact work each sprint and driving it to production.
  • Build AI-powered product features using OCR, document understanding, generation, agent loops, and evaluation harnesses.
  • Prototype quickly and turn working demos into production-grade software.
  • Work directly with customers to observe workflows, identify pain points, and prioritize fixes.
  • Improve codebase quality through reviews, refactoring, testability, and observability.
  • Contribute to and adopt internal skills, agents, engineering standards, and internal tools.
  • Collaborate on defining what to automate, reimagine, or replace in insurance workflows.
  • Raise the bar for engineering practices across the team.
  • Ship product improvements from real usage and iterate based on feedback.

Requirements

  • 6+ years building production systems.
  • Track record of shipping complex, customer-facing software, not just maintaining existing systems.
  • At least one substantive AI-driven feature shipped in production.
  • Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, design patterns, testing, web security, and performance.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, with at least one platform known in depth.
  • Experience using LLMs or agents in shipped products.
  • Ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort learning new tools quickly and shipping with them within a week.
  • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, Vue, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, or similar tools is relevant.
  • Preferred: experience in insurance or other complex domain-driven products.
