Description

  • Provide oversight of the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects, and define QA processes and standards.
  • Establish and continuously refine testing procedures before products go to market.
  • Ensure scalable test infrastructure and extend testing into performance, security, and compliance domains.
  • Identify systemic quality gaps, analyze quality metrics, and anticipate release risks.
  • Resolve QA workflow blockers while balancing delivery timelines and stakeholder needs.
  • Deliver executive-level QA reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior individual contributors across the QA organization.
  • Set goals, distribute workload, and conduct performance reviews for QA teams.
  • Advocate for Agile testing and build quality awareness across the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts on requirements, testing strategies, and defect triage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software QA across manual and automated testing of web and API applications.
  • At least 2+ years directly managing QA Leads, senior engineers, or a multi-team QA function.
  • Experience in insurance or another regulated, complex industry is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to establish QA processes, tooling, and standards organization-wide.
  • Experience turning quality metrics into executive-level insights and recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and the full testing lifecycle.
  • Experience implementing and scaling automated testing frameworks in an agile environment.
  • Deep understanding of BDD and Gherkin.
  • Hands-on familiarity with JavaScript and .NET testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, and Specflow, plus CI integration.
  • Strong experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Working knowledge of performance, security, and compliance testing.
  • Practical experience building and rolling out AI-powered processes across teams or workflows.
