Description

  • Own and drive end-to-end quality for the BPSA product team.
  • Establish, maintain, and advocate for quality gates and rapid feedback loops across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Design and execute validation strategies for feature initiatives.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering from ideation through delivery to align on acceptance criteria, personas, customer journeys, test data, edge cases, and non-functional expectations.
  • Mentor developers, product managers, and design partners on testing principles, behavioral specifications, and early validation practices.
  • Work through ambiguity by designing quality solutions when requirements, behavior definitions, or quality baselines are unclear.
  • Champion test automation best practices and coach engineers on shared ownership of automated tests.
  • Apply AI tools and techniques to improve product quality and quality engineering efficiency.
  • Own production defect triage for the product domain, including impact assessment, root cause analysis, fix prioritization, and preventative improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive software engineering or quality engineering experience in complex, distributed system environments.
  • Hands-on experience translating customer needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and risk-based test scenarios.
  • Proven ability to advocate for quality and influence technical direction using pragmatic, evidence-based approaches.
  • Experience testing web-based products, including front-end behavior, APIs, service integrations, and end-to-end flows.
  • Experience building test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress from the ground up.
  • Practical experience integrating automated tests and quality checks into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Buildkite, or similar tools.
  • Experience contributing to deployment and release quality gates, including test suite selection and environment readiness checks.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills for complex systems.
  • Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Curiosity about product architecture, user experience flows, customer workflows, analytics use cases, and business impact.
  • Experience using AI in modern software development.
