Description

  • Manage a defined portfolio of retail distribution partners across the South-Central United States.
  • Execute strategies to increase premium production and deepen engagement with Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners.
  • Identify and develop new high-potential partner relationships within the region.
  • Work with underwriting, marketing, and development teams to drive distribution and partner premium generation.
  • Cultivate and expand agency partnerships to achieve revenue targets within the territory.
  • Represent Cover Whale at partner meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Prospect new distribution partners and agents and maintain ongoing outreach to current and prospective partners.
  • Track, report on, and manage KPIs while consistently meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Help improve business development, partner management, and onboarding processes.
  • Conduct market trend research and competitor analysis to identify customer needs and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 4 to 6 years of business development or account management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance.
  • 1+ year of experience working for a carrier, wholesaler, or MGA preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate significant revenue from distribution partners.
  • Experience developing and managing retail and wholesale commercial lines brokers/agents, MGAs, MGUs, and other strategic partners.
  • Comfort and effectiveness with cold calling agency partners.
  • Experience prospecting and negotiating with distribution partners.
  • Strong understanding of insurance business financials.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, influencing, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and ability to adapt quickly to change and complexity.

  • Base salary range of $90,000 to $135,000.
