Description

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable search capabilities using C++ or Java.
  • Build and evolve platform services, APIs, and extensibility mechanisms across multiple products.
  • Contribute to the integration and optimization of large-scale search technologies.
  • Improve interoperability between Coveo’s platform and external systems or complementary search technologies.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Data Scientists, and Software Developers on search solutions.
  • Analyze existing services and help architect new platform capabilities that improve scalability, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using C++ or Java.
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable, reusable, high-quality software in a complex platform or product environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple technologies and system boundaries.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong ownership, curiosity, and a continuous desire to learn and improve.
  • Experience with large-scale search technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Vespa (preferred).
  • Experience building backend services, APIs, developer platforms, or product integrations (preferred).
  • Experience with distributed systems and large-scale cloud-native applications (preferred).
  • Knowledge of information retrieval, indexing, query execution, vector search, or AI-powered search technologies (preferred).
  • Transferable skillsets are welcome; candidates do not need to meet every requirement.
