Description

  • Achieve and exceed underwriting performance and revenue goals for the Allied Healthcare Professional Liability segment.
  • Price Allied Healthcare accounts quickly and in line with underwriting guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage quote-related communication and serve as an underwriting resource for brokers on coverage nuances.
  • Collaborate with the Allied Healthcare liability lead and underwriting team on complex account exposures.
  • Provide market feedback and recommend improvements to terms, rates, guidelines, coverage structures, and policy forms.
  • Support development of underwriting guidelines, decision trees, and rating logic with product and data teams.
  • Bind accounts by maintaining active engagement with assigned brokers and improving quote-to-bind efficiency.
  • Represent Counterpart at broker meetings and industry events to build market presence.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback on tools, services, digital workflows, and automation for underwriting.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of underwriting experience in Allied Healthcare, Healthcare Professional Liability, or a related professional liability line.
  • A network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the professional liability insurance space.
  • Expertise in specialty liability products, including rating procedures, policy forms, applications, and coverage endorsements.
  • Ability to engage brokers and build long-term, profitable brokerage partnerships.
  • Confidence presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and account management practices.
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Comfort working in a high-velocity environment with continuous challenges.
  • Flexibility to travel at least once per month when necessary.
  • College degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
