Description

  • Inspect homes and grounds and complete preventive maintenance and as-needed repairs.
  • Perform general repairs using basic trade skills in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, masonry, building construction, and HVAC-related work.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner while maintaining a clean workspace in residents’ homes.
  • Complete make-ready and turnover work according to the turnover timeline and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company safety standards and report potential physical or liability hazards.
  • Use tools and equipment properly and follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Complete work orders, timesheets, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain community appearance through playground cleanup, trash pickup, grounds work, and housekeeping tasks as assigned.
  • Pay close attention to detail to ensure maintenance tasks and repairs are completed thoroughly and hazards are not overlooked.
  • Support and train Level I Maintenance Technicians in a hands-on team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in multi-family or housing maintenance, construction, or trades, or graduation from a technical school with certification/license in 2-3 trades.
  • Proven competency in 2-3 trades, such as Type I and II EPA, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, masonry, or building construction.
  • Above-average knowledge of residential maintenance operations.
  • Above-average knowledge and use of hand tools.
  • Above-average knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to identify and operate specialty equipment used for the relevant trades.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment focused on accountability and collaboration.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents.
  • Ability to read English, interpret documents, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must be available for after-hours emergency repairs, on-call rotations, and irregular hours, including weekends.
  • Must provide and maintain own basic hand and power tools related to the job.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Use of a personal vehicle is required, with mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Commitment to participate in and complete Corvias training and classroom courses.
