Description

  • Design and implement scalable, reusable integration patterns for third-party platforms and partner systems.
  • Own feature development across the JavaScript stack to power partner experiences and business impact.
  • Build and evolve API, authentication, webhook, event, retry, idempotency, monitoring, and documentation foundations for integrations.
  • Improve reliability, security, performance, and scalability of partner integrations and platform components.
  • Identify and resolve technical debt and performance bottlenecks in high-volume integration flows.
  • Maintain and scale AWS infrastructure that supports integrations, observability, reliability, and secure data exchange.
  • Optimize and manage relational databases for integration-related workloads.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Growth, Marketing, Customer Experience, and external partner teams to unblock execution and align on delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor other engineers, and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Support uptime, on-call responsibilities, and rapid resolution of issues across integration flows.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and building cloud architecture, backends, middle ends, and web applications with end-to-end ownership.
  • Experience with NodeJS, NestJS, AWS, and React.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including OAuth/API key authentication, webhooks/events, and resilient workflows.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain backend services used by internal teams and external partners.
  • Advanced written and spoken English for collaboration with international stakeholders and partner engineering teams.
  • Fluency with AI engineering tools.
  • Preferred: previous experience leading or mentoring teams.
  • Preferred: experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira.
  • Preferred: enjoyment of working in small, fast-paced startup teams and interest in growing into a leadership role.
  • Preferred: strong communication and collaboration skills.
