Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services, Apache Airflow, dbt Cloud, and Snowflake.
  • Implement and govern Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
  • Build data ingestion frameworks using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, and Kafka.
  • Develop ELT pipelines in dbt Cloud for transformations, testing, documentation, and version control.
  • Orchestrate data workflows, dependencies, scheduling, monitoring, and error handling with Apache Airflow.
  • Partner with Product, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams to deliver trusted data products.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, observability, monitoring, and alerting across data workloads.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workloads and support Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
  • Enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards for regulated data, including PII, SOX, GDPR, and PCI where applicable.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, with strong exposure to banking or financial services data platforms.
  • Experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, streams and tasks, and secure views.
  • Experience with dbt Cloud, including models, tests, macros, documentation, environments, and CI.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, including DAG design, scheduling, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, and IAM.
  • Strong experience with SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Medallion or Lakehouse architecture.
  • Experience handling batch and near-real-time ingestion.
  • Version control experience with Git, along with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code exposure.
  • Must-have experience with banking or financial services data such as transactions, payments, accounts, loans, risk, fraud, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong understanding of data controls, auditability, reconciliation, and regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Experience handling sensitive data (PII) with strong security practices.
  • Experience with Kafka or MSK is preferred.
  • Exposure to semantic layers such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Unity Catalog, or OpenMetadata is preferred.
  • Cloud certification in AWS or Snowflake is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in Agile or POD-based teams.
  • Ownership mindset with strong attention to detail and data quality.
