Description

  • Own and lead the end-to-end research process for complex product areas covering trading and personal finance.
  • Plan, design, and execute full-cycle research across discovery, evaluative, generative, and strategic work using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Select appropriate research methods such as interviews, diary studies, usability tests, surveys, and concept testing.
  • Deliver timely, decision-ready insights aligned with product milestones and key decision points.
  • Communicate research findings through presentations, workshops, artifacts, dashboards, and narratives for audiences ranging from individual contributors to executives.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Data, and Engineering leads to define research questions, success criteria, and learning roadmaps.
  • Translate findings into actionable recommendations that influence roadmaps, feature definitions, and UX decisions.
  • Identify trade-offs, risks, and opportunities based on user behavior and market context.
  • Work across product lanes and with other UX researchers to uncover shared needs, friction points, and systemic UX issues.
  • Contribute to continuous discovery and designer enablement by coaching stakeholders and creating lightweight frameworks, guidelines, and tools.
  • Mentor and support researchers and cross-functional partners in research questions, methods, and interpretation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on UX research experience.
  • At least 3 years in a senior or staff-level role driving strategy in complex product areas.
  • Deep experience with mixed-methods research and strong qualitative craft.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative techniques, including survey design and basic statistics.
  • Experience owning end-to-end research for multi-surface or multi-product ecosystems, ideally in fintech, trading, or similarly complex financial domains.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape product roadmaps in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to translate nuanced or conflicting data into clear, prioritized recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including presenting to leadership and cross-functional audiences.
  • Strong collaboration experience partnering with Product Management, Design, and Engineering.
  • Background checks including employment, education, and criminal record checks are required as a condition of employment.
  • US salary range for candidates based in the United States is $146,000 to $218,000, excluding bonus, equity, or other benefits.
  • Remote-friendly, startup-style environment, with applicants encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every requirement.
